= 6, then (x, y) =

Solution:

{xy}/{x+y}=6/5⇒x+y=5/6xy

...(i)
Also,

{xy}/{x-y}=6⇒x-y=1/6xy

...(ii)
Putting (ii) in (i) we get

x+y=5(x–y)

⇒4x=6y

⇒x/y=6/4=3/2

∴

(x,y)

can be taken as

(3,2)
