For ΔABC with vertices A(4,2), B(6,5) and C(1, 4) the length of the median through A is

Solution:

For ΔABC, it is given that
A(4, 2), B(6, 5), C(1, 4)

∴ Mid point of BC is

({6+1}/2,{5+4}/2)

i.e, We have

D(7/2,9/2)

∴AD=√{(4-7/2)^2+(2-9/2)^2}=√{(1/2)^2+({-5}/2)^2}

=√{1/4+25/4}=√{26/4}=√{13/2}
