Solution:

(A + B)’s capital share

=1/4+1/5

∴ C’s share

=1-(1/4+1/5)=11/20

Equivalent capital = Sum × time period of investment
Ratio of profit = Ratio of equivalent capitals.

=(1/4×1/4):(1/5×1/2):(11/20×1)

=1/6:1/10:11/20=10:16:88

∴ A’s share in profit

=(10/{10+16+88})×228000

= Rs. 20,000
