Copper has minimum photoelectric effect as it has maximum ionisation potential (or work function). Work function can be said as the minimum energy needed to move an electron from the fermi level into vacuum. The highest known metal work function is approximately 4.7eV for copper. The work function value given by films 9.14 is 4.46±0.03eV and this value is to be representative of the present work.
