Cl2C=CCl2,CO2 (liquid), H2O2, benzene, benzol, CCl4, trichloroethylene are some of the frequently used dry cleaning fluids. However, tetrachloroethylene (perchloro ethylene) is a common solvent used in dry cleaning because it is a highly vapourising organic fluid.
But acetaldehyde is not used for dry purpose due to its decomposition property.
