Solution:

Time taken by the first train = 8 hours
Time taken by the second train = 5 hours
Ratio of time taken by 2 trains = 8 : 5
So, ratio of speed of 2 trains = 5 : 8
Sum of speeds of the two trains = 130
So, speed of both is 50 and 80 km/hour respectively
Average speed =

{2xy}/{x+y}

{2×50×80}/{50+80}

{8000}/{130}

= 61.54 km/hour
