then 4 workers working 8 hours a day can finish the work in
$6\times 6\times 12=4\times 8\times \mathrm{days}$
days =$\frac{6\times 6\times 12}{4\times 8}$
= $\frac{27}{2}$ days.
Then time taken to complete $\frac{1}{2}$ of the work
= $\frac{27}{2\times 2}$ = $\frac{27}{4}$ = $6\frac{3}{4}$ days
