Validate

Solution:

Let the thief will be overtaken after t hrs., then
60t =

(t-1/2) 75

⇒ 15t =

{75}/2

∴ t = 2.30 hr
Hence, required time = 2.30 p.m. + 2.30 hr. = 5 p.m.
