Find the value of

\log_{20}100+ \log_{20}1000+ \log_{20}10000

[Assume that log 2 = 0.3]

Solution:

Since log2 = 0.3 hence log 20 = 1.3

\log_{20}100 + \log_{20}1000 + \log_{20}10000

= [(log 100)/(log 20) + (log 1000)/(log20)
+ (log 10000)/(log20)]
= (2 + 3 + 4)/1.3 = 90/13
