Raveena travels to her office on scooter. She travels 2 km straight in north direction from her house and then takes a left turn and travels 2 km. from there, she takes a left turn and travels 6 km, and then again turns left and travels 5 km to reach the office. How much distance would she have to travel if there were a straight road between her house and the office ?

According to the given information, the possible diagram is:

By applying Pythagoras theorem,
The shortest distance between House and Office

= √ (32 + 42)

= √ (9 + 16)

= √ 25 = 5.
