Coupling coefficient

is given by

k ={ M }/{√{ L _{1} .L _{2}}}

L _{1}

and

L _{2}

are inductances of two inductors

is mutual inductance between the two inductors
Given that,

L _{1}= L H , L _{2}= L H , k =0.4, M =10 mH

∴0.4 ={10}/{√{ L ×L }}

⇒L =25 mH
