Given

\V _{1}=25 ∠0°\V

and

\V _{2}=10 ∠36.87° \V

In rectangular form it is equal to

\V _{1}=25 \cos 0+ \j 25 \sin 0

\V _{1}=25 \V

\V _{2}=10 \cos 36.87+ \j 10 \sin 36.87

\V _{2}=10(0.8)+ \j 10(0.6)

\V _{2}=8+ \j 6

\V _{ \S }= \V _{1}+ \V _{2}

\V _{ \S }= 3 3 + \j 6 \V
