Find the output voltage of the given network if

\E_\in = 6 \V

and the Zener breakdown voltage of the Zener diode is 10 V.

Solution:

Zener voltage

\V _{ \z }=10 \V

\E _{{\in }}=6 \V ⇒\E _{{\in }}< \V _{ \z }

Hence zener will be reverse biased and get open-circuited.
Output voltage

\E _{0}=0 \V
