Three resistors, 150 Ω, 200 Ω and 600 Ω are connected in parallel. Find the effective resistance of the parallel combination.

Solution:

\R_1 = 150 \Ω

\R_2 = 200 \Ω

\R_3 = 600 \Ω

The resistance we get when we connected the resistors in parallel.

{1}/{ \R _{{\eq }}}={1}/{ \R _{1}}+{1}/{ \R _{2}}+{1}/{ \R _{2}}

{1}/{ \R _{{\eq }}}={1}/{150}+{1}/{200}+{1}/{600}

\R _{{\eq }}=75 \Ω
