Number of Vowels = 1
GOLF = (7 + 15 + 12 + 6) - 1 = 40 - 1 = 39
Similarly;
In CLUE;
C = 3
L = 12
U = 21 (vowel)
E = 5 (vowel)
Number of Vowels = 2
CLUE = (3 + 12 + 21 + 5) - 2 = 41 - 2 = 39
Hence, "39" is the correct answer.
