Find the approximate collector current in the given transistor circuit. (Take current gain, β = 100)

Solution:

From the given figure, Apply KVL

10- \I _{ \B } ×\R _{ \B }- \V _{ \BE }=0

Let us assume

\V _{ \BE }=0.7 \V

10- \I _{ \B }(1 ×10^{6})-0.7=0

\I _{ \B }=9.3 \µ\A

We know that,

\I _{ \C }=\β\I _{ \B }

Where,

\I _{ \C } \;\;& \;\;\I _{ \B }=

collector current and base current
Therefore,

\I _{ \C }=100 ×9.3 \µ\A

=930 \µ\A

=0.93 \mA

≈1 \mA
