An alternating current i is given by i = 141.4 sin 314t A. Find the frequency and time period of the current.

Solution:

Sinusoidal wave is given as,

\i = 141.1 \sin (314\t )

Comparing to the given equation

\i = \I _{ \m } \sin (2 \π \ft +\ϕ)

\ω\t =2 \π\ft =314 \t

\f ={314}/{2 \π}

∴ \f = 50 \Hz

We know that,

\T ={1}/{ \f }={1}/{50}=0.02 \sec
