(1) The plane will be directlyabove the bag when it hits theground. Since the bag is onthe plane, it has the samehorizontal velocity as theplane. Projectiles alwaysmaintain constant horizontalvelocity (neglecting air resistance).When the bag isdropped, no horizontal velocityis given to it. So it will followa parabolic path and remaindirectly below the planeat all time.
