(4) The Bachat Lamp Yojana(BLY) scheme aims to distributethe Compact FluorescentLamps (CFLs) to the householdsat a price equivalent tothe price of the conventionalincandescent Lamp (ICL) i.e.Rs.15 per lamp. It aims at increasingthe usage and distributionof CFLs and reducingpower consumption. Bureau ofEnergy Efficiency (BEE)launched this scheme as partof their CDM (Clean DevelopmentMechanism) program implementation.
