(3) In case of dissolution of apanchayat, a fresh electionhas to be completed within aperiod of six months from thedate of dissolution. The newlyelected members hold officeonly for the remaining part ofthe term and not for the fullterm of five years. In case, theremaining term is less thansix months, a fresh electionmay not be held.
