Article 370 was related to the Jammu & Kashmir which has been partially reprimanded in recent days to withdraw the special status to the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
President Ram Nath Kovind issued a constitutional order on 5th August 2019 which superseded the Presidential order of 1954 making all the provisions of the Indian constitution applicable to Jammu and Kashmir.
Following this Presidential order of 2019, another resolution was passed in both houses of the Parliament leading to the issuance of another order on 6th August 2019 declaring all the clauses of Article 370 except clause 1 to be inoperative.
In the light of Presidential Orders of 2019, Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation Act was passed by both the Houses of Parliament which enacted the division of State of Jammu & Kashmir into two union territories i.e- Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on 31st October 2019.
