The word 'Bhand' is used to represent the traditional folk entertainers of India, Bangladesh & Nepal and the people, as well as their presentation materials, differ from region to region.
Bhand Pather of the Jammu & Kashmir perform to commemorate the lives of rishis(Sufi Sages, both Hindus, and Muslims) or more contemporary real or fictional figures are enacted by them.
Maach is the traditional theatre that belongs to Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh along with Jatra and Swaang of Bengal and Haryana respectively.
