Area of hexagon = $\frac{3\sqrt{3}{\left(\mathrm{side}\right)}^2}{2}$
⇒ Area of hexagon =$\frac{3\sqrt{3}{\left(4\right)}^2}{2}=24\sqrt{3}{\mathrm{cm}}^2$
⇒ Side of a square = 4√2 cm
⇒ Area of the square = ${\left(\mathrm{side}\right)}^2$
⇒ Area of the square = 32 ${\mathrm{cm}}^2$
⇒ Area of hexagon : Area of the square = 24√3 : 32
⇒ Area of hexagon : Area of the square = 3√3 : 4
∴ The ratio of their areas is 3√3 : 4.
