The length of a cuboid is twice its breadth and its height is half of its breadth. If the height of the cuboid is 2 cm, then what is the edge of a cube having the same volume as that of the cuboid?

Validate

Solution:

⇒ Height = 2 cm
⇒ Height = breadth/2
⇒ Breadth = 4 cm
⇒ Length = 2 × Breadth = 8 cm
The volume of cuboid = Volume of cube
⇒ Length × Breadth × Height = (edge)

= 8 × 4 × 2 = 64
⇒ Edge = 4 cm
∴ Edge of the cube is 4 cm.
