A saturated compound is a organic compound that has a chain of atoms linked together by single bonds. A covalent bonding can also be a single bond, double bond, double bond or a triple bond. For example, two oxygen atoms can both achieve stable structures by sharing two pairs of electrons which is basically double bond.
