The real car (atleast most of them) work in similarways. When we turn a car, the inner wheels haveto travel less (inner circle) while the outer onehas to travel more (outer circle). Unfortunately,the two wheels are connected together to acommon shaft and hence they can't really moveas they wish (at two different speeds).This problem vanished by differential gear box
