Three batsmen Anjana, Yamini and Gargi made a total of 99 runs in a cricket match. Anjana made runs equal to one third of the runs made by Gargi.
Gargi made just double the number of runs made by Yamini. How many runs did Anjana make in that match?

Solution:

A + Y + G = 99

A =1/3G

...(2)

G = 2Y

Solving equation (1), (2) and (3) we get

A = 18

Anjana made 18 runs in the match
