A delta connected 3-phase circuit has three equal resistance of 36 Ohms in each phase. What is the value of per phase resistance (in Ohms) of the equivalent star connected circuit?

Delta to star conversion

R_A={R_\AB R_\AC}/{(R_\AB+\R_\BC+\R_\CA)}

={R×R}/{R+R+R}=R/3=12

R_B={R_\BC R_\AB}/{(R_\AB+\R_\BC+\R_\CA)}

={R×R}/{R+R+R}=R/3=12

R_C={R_\CA R_\CB}/{(R_\AB+\R_\BC+\R_\CA)}

={R×R}/{R+R+R}=R/3=12

So per phase resister in star is 12.
