What will be the value of average power (in W), if a sinusoidal voltage applied across a series RC circuit is 20 sin ωt V and the current flowing in the circuit is 10 sin (ωt + 60)A ?

Solution:

V = 20 sin ωt volt
I = 10 sin (ωt + 60)A
Average Power (P)

= \V_\r\I_r \cos ϕ

=20/√2×10/√2×\cos60

= 50 watt
