Which one of the expression satisfies the condition of maximum power transfer theorem?

Solution:

For maximum power transfer,

Z_L=Z_S*

i.e. Load and source impedance must be conjugate to each other
It

Z_S = J X_S

and

Z_L = R_L + J X_L

then,

R_L = R_S

and

X_L = -XS

Z_S = R_S + J X_S

and

Z_L = R_L

then

R_L=√{R_S^2+X_S^2}

and if

Z_L = R_L Z_S = R_S

then

R_L = R_S

Redrawing the circuit we get
Now

I=V/R

∴I=50/(10+10)=50/20=2.4A
