Determine the power (in W) of lamp A and lamp B respectively for the given circuit diagram.

Solution:

R=V/I⇒I=40/15

Now power in lamp A

= I^2R

=(8/3)^2×10=640/9

= 71.11 watt
and power in lamp B

= I^2R

=(8/3)^2×5

= 35.85 watt
