The conductivity of water depend on the concentration of dissolved ion in solution. Salt malecules are made of sodium and chlorine ions when we put salt in water, the water molecules pull the sodium and chlorine ion part so they are floting freely which is responsible for conductance of electricity. So pure distilled water is an extremely bad conductor, while impuse water with ions is it a good conductor.
