D = Duty in hectare/cumecs, Δ = Delta in meter, and B = Base period of the crop in days.

Given:
D = 900 ha/cumec
B = 100 days
Than, $\mathrm{\Delta }=\frac{8.64\times \mathrm{B}}{\mathrm{D}}$
$\mathrm{\Delta }=\frac{8.64\times 100}{900}$
$\mathrm{Delta}\left(\mathrm{\Delta }\right)=0.96\mathrm{m}=96\mathrm{cm}$
