Flow rate:

{\Q}=0.1 {\m}^{3} \/ {\s}

{\Q}={\A}_{{1}} {\V}_{{1}}={\A}_{{2}} {\V}_{{2}}

{\V}_{1}={{\Q}}/{{\A}_{1}}={0.1}/{0.25}=0.4 {\m} \/ {\s}

{\V}_{2}={{\Q}}/{{\A}_{2}}={0.1}/{0.1}=1 {\m} \/ {\s}

∴ The velocity of flow in the reduced pipe is 1 m/s
