Profit $\%=($ Profit $∕\mathit{C}\mathit{P})\times 100$
Calculation:
Let the selling price of 1 chair be ₹1.
Selling Price (SP) of 152 chairs $=152\times \mathit{₹}1=\mathit{₹}152$
Gain $=$ Selling price of 76 chairs $=76\times \mathit{₹}1=\mathit{₹}76$
We know that Profit $=$ SP - CP
$\Rightarrow 76=152-\mathit{C}\mathit{P}$
$\Rightarrow \mathit{C}\mathit{P}=152-76$
$\Rightarrow \mathit{C}\mathit{P}=\mathit{₹}76$
Now, calculate the profit percentage:
Profit $\%=($ Profit $∕\mathit{C}\mathit{P})\times 100$
⇒ Profit $\%=\left(76∕76\right)\times 100$
⇒ Profit $\%=1\times 100$
⇒ Profit $\%=100\%$
