Solution:

Single equivalent discount

(D)=100 × [1- (1-d_1 \/ 100) × (1-d_2 \/ 100) × (1-d_3 \/ 100) ]

Calculation:

\;D=100 ×[1-(1-30 \/ 100) ×(1-25 \/ 100) ×(1-40 \/ 100)]

\;⇒ D=100 ×[1-(0.70 × 0.75 × 0.60)]

\;⇒ D=100 ×[1-0.315]

\;⇒ D=100 × 0.685

\;⇒ D=68.5 \%
