Solution:

(1) Let the number of bananaspurchased for ₹200 beforedecrease in price = x.
Price of x bananas after decrease inprice = 200 – 10% of 200 = ₹180
After decrease in price, (x + 8)bananas can be purchased for₹ 200
∴ Price of 8 bananas after fall inprice = 200 – 180 = ₹20
Price of bananas per dozen afterdecrease in price

= 20 ×12/8= ₹ 30
