(2) The sum of salaries of Ram,Shyam and Rohit per day = 160 × 3= ₹ 480
Let Rohit earn ₹ x per day.
Shyam’s salary per day = ₹(x + 20)
Ram’s salary per day = ₹ 3x
$\therefore 3\mathit{x}+\mathit{x}+20+\mathit{x}=480$
$\Rightarrow 5\mathit{x}+20=480$
⇒5x = 460
⇒x = ₹92
∴ Ram’s per day income = ₹ 92 × 3
= ₹276
