Triangles ABC and PQR are similar. If the perimeter of triangle ABC is four times the perimeter of triangle PQR, then what is the value of

Solution:

(4) The ratio of perimeters of twosimilar triangles is equal to the ratioof the length of their sides.
Therefore,

{PQ}/{AB }= {Perimeter of △ PQR}/ {Perimeter of △ ABC}=k/{ 4k}= 1/ 4
