What will be the minimum value of (x – 5) (x – 13)?

(x – 5) (x – 13) = x^2 – 18x +65

For a quadratic equation, ax^2 + bx+ C = 0, the minimum value of theequation is calculated as

{4ac- b^2}/4a

Therefore, for the quadratic equation,

x^2 – 18x +65 = 0

, the minimumvalue will be

={4(1)(65)- ( -18)^2}/{4(1)}

={260 -324}/4

=-64/4=- 16
