A sphere of radius 21 cm is melted and small spheres of radii 7 cm are made from it. How many such spheres can be made?

Solution:

Since the material of largersphere is transferred to smallerones, total volume will remain thesame
.So, number of small spheres is,

n={volume of larger sphere}/{volume of smaller spheres}

={4/3π(21)^3}/{4/3π(7)^3}=[21/7]^3=3^3=27
