Find the value of A, if sin (A + B) = cos (A – B) =

√ 3 /2

and (A + B) is an acute angle. Also A > B > 0° .

Solution:

3) sin (A + B)

= √3/2= sin60°

(A + B) = 60° ………………… (1)
cos (A –B)

=√3/2= cos 30°

(A – B) = 30° ………………….. (2)
On solving (1) and (2), we get
A = 45° and B = 15°
