Raghav walks 4/5th of his usual speed and takes 1 h more to reach the destination. How much time will he take if he walks at his usual speed?

Solution:

(1) Let the usual speed of Raghavbe x kmph and the distance bey km.
∴ Usual time

= y/xh

New speed

= {4X}/5 kmph

New time

=y/{4x}/5 ={5y }/{4x} h

∴ {5y}/{4x} –y/x=1

⇒{[5 /4–1]y}/x=1

⇒y/x=4

∴ Usual time = 4 h
