Solution:

x^4+2/x^4=0

⇒x^8+2=0

x^8 = – 2

Therefore,

x^24 + x^32 + x^56 + x^64 =(x^8)^3 +(x^8)^4 + (x^8)^7 + (x^8)^8

= (– 2)^3 + (– 2)^4 + (– 2)^7 + (– 2)^8

= – 8 + 16 – 128 + 256 = 136
