Its actual weight = 90% of 1000 g= 900 g
Let C.P of 100 g be ₹100
C.P of the packet = ₹ 900
S.P of packet $=\left[\frac{100-\mathit{L}\%}{100}\times \mathit{C}\mathit{P}\right]$
=$\left[\frac{100-8}{100}\times \mathit{C}.\mathit{P}.\mathit{o}\mathit{f}1\mathit{k}\mathit{g}.\right]$
$=\mathit{₹}\left[\frac{92}{100}\times 1000\right]$
= ₹ 920
Gain =₹ 920 – 900
= ₹ 20
Gain% $=\left[\frac{20}{900}\times 100\right]\%$$=\frac{20}{9}\%$
=$2\frac{2}{9}\%$
