(3) Let S, M and C are the dailyearnings of Santu, Mantu andChantu, respectively.
One day wage of Santu and Mantu
$=\frac{9520}{17}=\mathit{₹}560$
∴S + M = 560 …………………..…(1)
One day wage of Santu and Chantu
$=\frac{5170}{11}=\mathit{₹}470$
∴ S + C = 470 …………………….…(2)
One day wage of all the three
persons $=\frac{6240}{8}=780$
∴ M + S + C = 780 ……………..…(3)
By solving (1) + (2) – (3), we get(2S + M + C) – (M + S + C)= 560 + 470 – 780
⇒ S = 250
∴M = 560 – 250 = 310
∴Earning of Mantu in 5 days = 310× 5 = ` 1550
