₹17700 is divided among P, Q and R in such a way that the ratio between the amounts received by P and that of Q is 3 : 4 and the ratio between the amounts received by Q and that of R is 5 : 6. Find out the amount received by R.

Solution:

4) P : Q = 3 : 4 = 15 : 20 and Q : R= 5 : 6 = 20 : 24
Therefore, P : Q : R = 15 : 20 : 24
∴Amount received by R

=24/{15 +20 +24}×17700

=24/59×17700

=₹ 7200
