Solution:

(1) The difference of two consecutivenumbers is the square of naturalnumbers starting from 1

. As, 25– 24 = 1, 29 – 25 = 4 (i.e. 2^2 ), 38– 29 = 9 (i.e. 32 ), 54 – 38 = 16(i.e. 4^2 ),

and so on. Similarly,

? =115 + 7^2 = 164.
