Let the number of coins of 1 rupee= 10x, the number of coins of 50paise = 8x, the number of coins of25 paise = 5x
Value of 50 paise coins $=8\frac{\mathit{x}}{2}$ (asthere are two 50 paise coins in 1rupee)Value of 25 paise coins = 54x (asthere are four 25 paise coins in 1rupee)
Now,
$10\mathit{x}+4\mathit{x}+5\frac{\mathit{x}}{4}=976$
x = 64
So, the number of 25 paise coins =5 × 64 = 320
