Visitors to a zoo are charged₹ 30 each on Monday,₹ 20 on Tuesday and ₹ 15 on Wednesday. The total number of visitors on the three days was in the ratio 2 : 3 : 4. Find out the average charge per person (in ₹) ?

Solution:

(4) Let the number of visitors presenton the three days be 2x, 3xand 4x.
Average charge per person =

{2X× 30 +3X× 20+ 4 X×15}/{2X+ 3X+ 4X}

= {60X× 60x+ 60x}/9x

= {180x}/9x

=₹ 20
